I was spinning through the dial and Jack Diamond came on the radio and started rambling about how it is a harsh world and so many people are going through tough times, what with rising gas prices and all. Then, he and his crew of morons proceeded to break down the results show of American Idol. I'm sitting there listening to that fat, greasy bag of **** drone on about American Idol and all I can say is "Shut. The. F***. Up." over and over and over and over. Like, nobody below the age of 45 thinks you're an authority on anything.

And the icing on the cake was when Mix 107.3 played "It's Been a While" by Staind (for the 1,309,985th time since that song came out) and Diamond said that the band just "rocks out" on that song. "Rocks out"? Really?

I guess that's how they get listeners--turn them into mindless drones that don't mind hearing the same Los Lonely Boys song seven times an hour.

Thank God Mark and Kris are gone!!!! That was the worst piece of crap called a show I have ever heard. The worst jokes, the worst conversations and the worst phone calls ever. It sounded like a college radio show.-->

I've de-programed 99.5 from all of my radios. I hate it now! I realized recently I keep hitting snooze, it's because Mark and Kris aren't there and Kane can't get me out of bed. Wahhhhhhhhhhh!

Without any hard evidence to support this, I feel like Hot 99.5 has lost a large portion of its audience. In terms of demographics, Kane seems to fit between The Sports Junkies and Elliot in the Morning - a market that is already dried up with the older and more established shows. The old Hot Morning Mess, on the other hand, targetted a wider audience of both old and young that have been left scrambling to find an alternative to the new format. I would think that shows like The Sports Junkies and the Jack Diamond Morning show are happier than ever since Hot 99.5's decision to not renew Mark, Kris, and Big Ron Ross.
