A formerly anon blogger, trying to make it honest
OK a little help fellow DC-ers…I’m going to a play at Studio Theatre this week…where should I go to dine beforehand? Somewhere not too expensive…
I’m fairly familiar with the area, but wanted somewhere maybe I haven’t thought of before. I’m open to other places like Dupont etc… as well.

Thai Tanic. It’s so close and so delicious.
Don’t go to Logan Tavern, my last two experiences there have been disappointing. Bad service once, then they somehow screwed up my friend’s roast chicken the next time(how you do that I have no idea, but at least the service was decent that time).
Mr. Yengs. Best Chinese in town.
Oya is my new favorite place in DC. It is on 7th….though you will prob need to make reservations in advance. And they have valet (which I highly recommend!)
Chef Geoff’s!
Try Busboys & Poets! It’s quirky, with an affordable but eclectic menu, and it’s pretty close by.
Logan Circle is my ‘hood! Welcome! I second ‘Smash’ and say go to Thai-tanic. I get takeout at least once a week, and they’ve never let me down. Love love love the Chicken Panang curry.
Plus, they’ve got Tsingtao — a rarity in this town.
